St Albans have been presented with the coverted Leslie Boundy Trophy for the referee’s favourite club.
Chairman Terry Evans received the award on behalf of the club from referee society stalwart, Mike Burdett.
Referees score each club over the season on a number of different elements including; how the pitch is dressed, player, coaches and spectator behaviour, hospitality and how welcome they are made to feel, on and off the pitch.
Society president, Peter Brady, congratulated St Albans on their hospitality and sportsmanship and, in a moving speech, remembered with fondness the renowned St Albans touch judge and character Dave Gilroy who sadly passed away early in the year.
