St Albans Ladies pick up big win over West Herts

A dominant display from St Albans Hockey Club Ladies 1st team saw them beat West Herts 4-0 in the England Conference East League on Saturday.

The Tangerines piled pressure on the West Herts defence throughout the game and goals came from Amie Hone (two), Bethan Davies and Adele Sammons.

The 2nds were also victorious, beating Cambridge University away from home with superb goals from Fiona Mulder and Lexi Hamilton.

The Boadiceas played an end-to-end match against Broxbourne which ended 4-4. Helen anton scored twice for St Albans with Mary Oswin and Aly Lord getting the others.

In the men’s section the 1sts secured a punishing 5-0 victory against Cambridge City after Matt Davey, James Harris, Adam Wilson, Dave Williams and Matt Hodgson all scored.

The 7ths beat Bishop Stortford 2-0, the 8th team won 3-2 against Cheshunt and the Praetorians won 8-2 against Hampstead & Westminster.
