St Albans City salvaged a 1-1 draw in Monday’s game with Bideford after having two players sent off in the first half.

Bideford took a second-minute lead but were pegged back by John Frendo, who scored his 34th goal of the season.

The game took a turn for the worse in the latter stages of the first half as James Comley was shown a second yellow card and was duly dismissed before Frendo was given a straight red for an alleged elbow.

Despite being two men down for the majority of the second half - Bideford’s Nick Milton was sent off in the 88th minute for a last man challenge on Chris Henry - City held on to secure a remarkable draw.
