St Albans City have swooped for two players who were a major part of Hendon's charge to the Bostik Premier play-offs last season.
Luke Tingey and Dave Diedhiou have made the journey up from north London to becaome the second and third signings of the summer for Saints boss Ian Allinson.
Tingey, 21, played for MK Dons before joining the Greens in 2015 and the central defender impressed in his three years at Silver Jubilee Park, where he made 113 appearances in all competitions.
Diedhiou, pronounced deejoo, spent a bit longer with Hendon, clocking up 10 years of service and making well over 300 appearances, scoring 43 goals in the process.
He is a defensive midfielder.
They join another former Hendon man in Khale Da Costa at Clarence Park.
Allinson had spoken to HertsAdSport earlier in the day where he had said he was not panicked or worried about City’s lack of movement in the transfer market and these signings give an indication of why.
He had also mentioned that he expected defender Tarik Moore-Azille to sign a new deal with the club sometime in the week and news of that contract extension came through quicker than expected.
He made 20 appearances for Saints in an injury-hit campaign but showed plenty of promise.
City will hope for more of the same this time around.
