St Albans City have boosted their striking options with the signing of Harry Crawford.

He joins the club after being released by Boreham Wood earlier this week.

The 23-year-old striker only joined the National League side in August.

A spokesman for the club said: “We are pleased to announce striker Harry Crawford has joined the Club after being released by National League side Boreham Wood.

“Everyone at St Albans City welcomes Harry to Clarence Park.”

Crawford started his career at Southend, scoring three times in 33 appearances.

It was during this spell that he made two appearances for the Republic of Ireland U19 team, lining-up against England and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

He signed for Dartford in August 2012 after being released from Roots Hall.

His 12 goals in 24 games for the Conference National team attracted the interest of Barnet, with whom he signed a three-year deal in January 2013.

Opportunities were limited at The Hive, yet he still managed three goals in 40 appearances.

After being released in 2014, he re-joined the Darts scoring seven goals in forty appearances as the club suffered relegation.
