St Albans City’s much-anticipated trip to their nearest rivals has been brought forward.

City were due to face Hemel Hempstead Town on Tuesday, March 21.

But due to a free weekend, Saints will now head to Vauxhall Road on Saturday, January 14.

St Albans were originally scheduled to host Welling United while the Tudors were set for a home tie against Ebbsfleet United.

However, both opponents have progressed to the second round of the FA Trophy, creating this opportunity which should now bring a bumper crowd.
