St Albans City will face a northern invasion after the draw for the second round of the FA Trophy.

Made live on Talksport Radio by Adam Virgo and Hertfordshire’s Tony Incenzo, Saints were drawn at home to Harrogate Town.

The Sulphurites play in the Vanarama National League North, the same level as Saints, and are currently in third in that table.

St Albans made it through to this round with goals from Zane Banton and Kieran Monlouis giving them a 2-1 win away to Whitehawk on Saturday.

Town defeated Wrexham at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday

The game is scheduled for Saturday, January 13.

City’s best run in the competition took them to the semi-final back in 1999, losing 4-3 to Forest Green Rovers.

The last time they got beyond the second round was in 2005 when victory over Cray Wanderers in a replay got them to a third round clash with Havant & Waterlooville, which they lost 1-0.
