Saints’ hearing adjourned again

No new date set by FA
ST ALBANS City’s proposed hearing at the Football Association has been postponed for a second time, this time due to illness.
Club officials were due at Wembley this Thursday to meet with the FA regarding the club’s payments to players but the hearing has been postponed again after the original hearing in December was adjourned while the investigation continued.
An FA spokesman confirmed the postponement telling the Herts Advertiser: “The hearing has been postponed but we don’t have a new date yet.”
The latest adjournment will come as a bitter pill to Saints’ fans who are frustrated by the uncertainty and hoping for a resolution to the drawn-out affair.
Should the Saints be found guilty their likely punishment will be a fine and a points deduction, although the FA says each case is judged on an individual basis.
When the investigation originally came to light back in September the Saints claimed they were helping the FA to deal with “some procedural matters relating to the 2008/2009 season”.
