St Albans City Football Club has announced the loan signing of striker George Sykes.

He joins from Barnet FC for the remainder of the season and the play-off period and will be available for selection for our home fixture against Bedford Town this weekend.

Sykes, who was named League Two Apprentice of the Year in March 2013, made his senior debut in August 2012 and signed professional forms in November of the same year.

He has been involved at U19 international level for Scotland and, in the current season, he has been on loan with Bishop’s Stortford and Farnborough.
