Boreham Wood will have to pay St Albans compensation

ST ALBANS secured victory at Wembley on Monday afternoon with the Football Association finding in the Saints’ favour at the tribunal relating to Inih Effiong’s summer switch to rivals Boreham Wood.

The FA concluded that the striker had been re-engaged correctly by the Clarence Park outfit and as a result Boreham Wood will have to pay the Saints £1,500 plus 20 per cent of any future transfer sell-on.

Wood have 14 days to pay the compensation in full.
