"Home form is key," Wheeler

HEAD coach Harry Wheeler insists St Albans' home form is key if they are to have any success this season.
The Saints have a 100 per cent winning record at Clarence Park this campaign, beating Hungerford Town 2-0 and sealing wins against Banbury and Corby Town with late goals.
It is a stark contrast to City’s away form so far this season – they lost away at Poole on the opening day season before putting in a dreadful performance in a 1-0 loss against Chesham United on Bank Holiday Monday.
Speaking after the Corby win, Wheeler said Saints’ home form has to be close to perfect.
“It’s got to be that way,” he explained.
“Even at the higher levels you watch teams they don’t lose many games at home – they might lose or draw one every seven or eight games.
“If you want to push on that’s how it needs to be.”
He added: “Obviously we need to improve out away record but if we can keep up the record at home and pick up odd win away then by the end of the season we should be up there.”
City will be looking for their first win away from Clarence Park tonight (Monday) when they travel to Top Field to take on Hitchin Town, 7.45pm kick-off.
