New signing Sow on the bench

Ian Gayle goes straight into St Albans City’s starting line-up following his return to the club yesterday.

The Dagenham and Redbridge defender has re-signed for the club on a month’s loan.

Last season, Gayle made 16 appearances for the Saints.

As well as Gayle, City welcomed Ghassimu Sow to the club on a permanent move from Crystal Palace.

The 20-year-old midfielder spent time on loan at Farnborough last season and also had a three-month spell with FC Honka in the Finnish First Division.
