John Frendo doubled his tally for the season as St Albans City beat Wealdstone 3-0 on Saturday.

Last season’s top scorer netted either side of Lee Clarke’s first of the season, once from the penalty spot, as City recorded their second successive win.

The win lifts the Saints up to sixth in the league while the Stones remain bottom of the Vanarama Conference South.

This Tuesday, City travel to Bishop’s Stortford in the Herts Charity Cup before making the trip to Hayes and Yeading on Sunday in the second quality round of the FA Cup.
