St Albans City Youth: U15 South beat higher opposition in Challenge Cup

Defenders Callum Peet, Craig McConnell, Matthew Knight and Matt Bird held off unbeaten Bedmond Youth as U18 North earned a point in a goalless draw. Goalkeeper Eddie Rose was MOM.
Goals from Gus Scott and Shay Emerton were not enough as U18 West drew 2-2 with Potters Bar United.
U18 East lost 1-0 to Brady Maccabi Lions in the Spring Trophy. Bachir Loussahi was MOM.
U16 Boreal won 6-0 against Watford Youth. Finding the net were Tawanda Manenji (two), Sean Aylward, Numan Hakim, Sian Khan-Boylan and MOM Adel Grozdanic.
U16 West led three times against Berkhamsted but were held to a 4-4 draw. Scoring for the West were Josh Bean, Ollie Shepherd, Lewis Cutmore and Ellis Allan.
U15 South beat higher division opposition Olympiacos 5-2 in the Challenge Cup. The goalscorers were Billy Lawrence (two), Kyle Harris, Charlie Gordon and Dennie Williams.
U15 North beat Northwood 2-1 with MOM Charlie Lunniss bagging both goals.

U15 East were beaten 7-0 twice in a double-header with Flanstead. MOM were Ed Hollis and Craig Reece.
U14 North were downed by a single goal against Alexandra Park in the Challenge Cup. MOM was Youness Bakhti.
U13 Orient routed Whetstone Wanders, winning 16-1. The scorers were: Michael Gabbalah (three); Ibrahim Rahman (three); Finbar King (two); Louie Collier (two); Owen Carrick (two); Luke Beckworth; Luke Gymer; Tom Hunt and Toby Byron.
Goals from Kwame Youri (two), Matthew Nash and Tom Keating, plus an MOM performance from Ollie Wakeling, saw U13 West win 4-1 against Chorleywood Common.
U12 North beat Berkhamsted Raiders 4-2 after extra-time in the semi-final of the Challenge Cup. Billy Owen (two), Joe Williams and Harvey Smith found the net. MOM was Finn Murphy.
U10 Central won 6-0 against Bury Rangers. On the scoresheet were: Thomas Coupling (two); Daragh Gallagher (two); Elliot Pate and Benjamin Maher.
Harrison Shaw scored the only goal of the game as U9 North beat Norseman.
Charlie Johnson netted a brace in U9 South’s 5-2 loss to Wormley Youth. Bayley Bacon was MOM.
Scoring for U8 North in a fun match with Welwyn Pegasus were Joshua Addo (two); Cadima-Mukasa Lusiola (two); Bradley Smith; Edward Askam and MOM Alexis Awonuga.
Scoring for U8 South in a fun match with Elite Feet were Harry Cooke (two), Sam Ejjayha (two) and MOM Jed Ejjayha.
Scoring for U8 West in a fun match with Codicote was Cody Smith (three). Jonathan Harris was MOM.
St Albans City Youth – Girls
For the second year running, Bury Rangers got the better of U14 North in the Herts FA County Cup final, this time winning 4-3. Goals from Emily Schofield (two) and Shauna Smith saw City fight back from four goals down but they couldn’t find an equaliser.
Ellie Jenkins scored a consolation goal in U14 South’s 4-1 loss to Bedwell Rangers. Kate Chamberlain was POM.
Zoe Cowan scored in the U10s fun match with Bedmond.
