Sandridge 2nds got back to winning ways on Saturday with a 75-run win over Boxmoor 2nds.

Skipper Dave Muskett won the toss and on what looked like a decent strip, elected to bat first. Losing a wicket in the first over, Sandridge recovered to put 50 on the board before losing Matt Scott for 34.

Amit Perab then joined Jack Shephard and they proceeded to put together an entertaining 76-run partnership, before the former went for 46, bringing hard-hitting Kim Nguyen to the crease. He and Shephard scored freely in an 80-run partnership, with Shephard scoring an unbeaten 102, his first century for the club.

Sandridge declared after 50 overs with a total of 238-4.

Boxmoor started positively and with the wicket offering very little assistance to the seamers. Sandridge turned to off-spinner Lewis Wynne who, assisted by some fine catching, took 6-66, backed up by Dave Muskett (2-5) and Dave Camm (2-28) as Boxmoor were bowled out for 163.
