Winger’s injury not as bad as first feared
CROCKED winger Sean Shields hopes to be back in training early in the New Year after it was revealed his injury wasn’t as bad as first feared.
Shields sustained the injury during the later stages of last week’s 3-0 win over Hitchin Town, receiving a lengthy spell of treatment on the pitch before being taken off on a stretcher with suspected ligament damage.
However, the swelling has now gone down revealing that the damage is minimal with the winger targeting a return to action within three or four weeks.
Shields was presented with the Harpenden Construction Ltd. Player of the Month award for November by Ian Rogers before last Saturday’s 3-0 win over Cambridge City.
