SHENLEY Village returned to winning ways with a comfortable 70-run win over Chipperfield Clarendon.

However, Anooj Vadgama (top-scoring with 45) and Morgan Stanley stabilised the innings. A series of useful contributions brought Shenley to a total of 215-8.
The Shenley bowling attack then ripped into the home side straight away - Wendell Roberts having their captain caught behind in the first over.
Shenley kept the pressure on throughout, with Roberts taking four of the wickets.
A highlight in the field was a superb catch, while running backwards, from James Williams at long-on.
Chipperfield Clarendon were all out for 145, giving Shenley a much-needed victory which takes them to seventh spot in the Division 3 table.
Next week they will host basement club Clifton.
