HERTFORDSHIRE lost their second successive County game, going down 17-19 at home to Division One leaders Oxfordshire at the Shamrock Club in Welwyn Garden City.

On Saturday, Herts Ladies performed well to win 4-2 against the Oxford Ladies B side but on Sunday Herts went down 5-1 to Oxford Ladies A. Linda Searle from St Albans showed her impressive form with a seventh win in a row to take the Lady of the Match award for the seventh time. She won with a 25.47 average and a 14-dart final leg.

The overall score was 17-19 to Oxfordshire despite the men's Hertfordshire A winning 7-5 on Sunday.

The next game is away to Lincolnshire on the last weekend of March and Herts will be hoping to claim the victory.
