HERTS Seniors lost out 7-3 at Upminster to Kent, who claimed the North/South Regional League title.

Captain Gaius Potton (Berkhamsted) led the way against England international Chris Reynolds, who claimed victory by 5&3 and all the matches were closely contested, resting on a single hole or putt, four going to the 18th. Wins for Herts came from Norman Cameron (Porters Park) by two holes and Tom McAvoy (London Hatfield) won 5&4, with halves from Martin McKenna (Letchworth and Graham Steel (Moor Park).

Herts had reached the final by beating BB&O to win the South East/North title.
