DEFENDER Chris Seeby scored on his return to action after 13 months out with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
Seeby, aged 23, made his first appearance since suffering the injury when he played for St Albans City reserves against Harrow Borough in the Capital League on Monday at Clarence Park. He crowned the occasion with a stunning strike on 50 minutes.
Seeby, who played 58 minutes, was joined in the City side by goalkeeper Jake Palmer who was on the bench for the first team squad on Saturday. Midfielder James Quilter and forward Hector Mackie were also handed reserve run outs.
City went down 4-1 with the Seeby goal proving the highlight of an entertaining and open clash.
Josh Lamonaca, Tegana James and Kwame Asamoah, who all appeared briefly for the City first team in 2007/08, featured in the game.
