SWIMMING: THE 5/13th St Albans and 1st Sandridge Scout Groups swam away with the trophies at the St Albans District Cub and Scout Gala on Saturday at Westminster Lodge.
The 5/13th beat nine other cub teams to take the Anson Trophy for Cub Scouts with the 3rd St Albans second and the 18th Homewood third.
Eight troops took part in the scout competition with Sandridge winning the U14 competition and the 5/13th the U12 competition and also taking the Dymoke Green overall trophy with the 18th Aquila Troop second and Sandridge and Redbourn tying for third place.
