Sandridge 2nds pulled off one of their best results of the season with a sensational victory over local rivals Greenwood Park.

Put into bat, Sandridge once again made their customary poor startm, losing both openers with only 13 on the board.

Jack Shephard and Amit Parab then attempted to repair the damage against some accurate bowling. Shephard went for 15, but then Mark Harris joined Parab and they continued to bat solidly and build the foundations of a solid partnership. They took the score to 101 before Harris was dismissed for 30. Parab went onto make a magnificent 55, and when skipper Dave Muskett came in and blasted a quick fire 31, Sandridge`s total of 166 was a competitive score considering the poor start they had made.

Needing to make an early breakthrough, Sandridge made an excellent start running out Park’s leading batsman in the second over.

Thanks to the excellent bowling of Graham Perrin (5-22) and David Camm (4-34), backed up by some excellent catching, Sandridge dismissed their opponents for the paltry sum of 58.
