Sammy the Saint provided entertainment for the children of Oakwood and Margaret Wix primary schools as St Albans City co-owner Lawrence Levy and St Albans City Youth trustee Sam Mardle gave assemblies last week.

The work forms part of St Albans City FC and St Albans City Youth CFC’s working in partnership in the community.

Lawrence Levy, trustee of City Youth, was able to use the power of sport discuss a number of educational issues with the children such as not being frightened to make a mistake and the importance of working as part of a team before Mardle, a coach at City Youth, spoke about healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.

The schools activity forms part of the St Albans City FC and St Albans City Youth in the community partnership that is funding by The Premier League through the Conference League Trust.
