IT was a disappointing weekend for St Albans Ladies as they lost all five of their games in the Indoor Hockey League.

They finished the weekend bottom of the Division Two South table, six points behind the second from bottom side, the Army.

St Albans began their campaign on Saturday, losing their first game 4-3 to Old Loughtonians, who eventually finished the weekend in second place. This was followed by a 5-3 defeat to East Grinstead.

St Albans would have hoped that their fortunes would improve on Sunday but they soon realised this wasn't to be the case, losing their third game 5-0 to Harleston Magpies who finished top of the table after winning all five of their games.

A 6-1 defeat to Staines added to the misery before a narrow 5-4 defeat to the Army consigned St Albans to bottom spot.
