IT has been confirmed that St Albans City FC’s Reserves have been accepted into the Capital League for next season following their withdrawal from the South Midlands League.
The team, to be coached by Stuart Crawford under the guidance of first team manager David Howell, will play in a group with Dulwich Hamlet, Hampton and Richmond, Hayes and Yeading Utd, Staines Town, Wealdstone, and Wingate and Finchley.
The midweek night games are designed to offer a bridge to the first team for youth team players as well as provide first-team squad members in need of games with more regular football.
The team will also play in the Capital League’s President’s and Intermediate cups, which are Saturday competitions.
