Verulamians Rugby Club plans to build on an excellent season as training and matches start in September.

The club enjoyed unprecedented cup and league success in the 2014-15 season at senior, junior and mini levels. And over the summer it has continued with extensive ground and clubhouse refurbishments, aided by RFU grants and a NatWest Rugby Force Weekend.

This year promises even more, with record numbers expected to enrol on registration day for the minis and juniors section at 10am on Sunday, September 6.

“We have just had a fantastic season and we are hoping for even greater success in the coming rugby World Cup year,” says the club’s juniors and minis chairwoman Angela Clifford.

Verulamians is a ‘friendly, community rugby club with a thriving junior section’ which has age groups from U7 to U16, and three senior teams. It is based opposite Ayletts on the A414, and always welcomes new players and members.
