THE Vees Under 13s continued their unbeaten start to the season with a convincing victory against local rivals Harpenden.

The platform for success was a strong forward performance built around the front row of Dion Thomas, Simon Crain and Daniel Mattacoli.

Three tries from rampant number eight Dominic O'Malley set the Vees on their way and there were great individual efforts from Matthew Kemball-Cook and Dreevesh Gooheram who breached a determined Harpenden defence.

Despite the heavy rain both sides showed great handling skills and determined defence. Ben Rainsford was ever-reliable at full back and Adam Welch-McDonald caused havoc with some formidable tackles. The final score was 27-7 to Vees.
