Women are invited to give rugby a try – as Radlett Ladies Rugby Club host a pitch up and play event on Sunday.
The day starts at the club’s Cobden Hill ground in Radlett and hopes to introduce more women to the game.
It is part of an England Rugby Project, who have set a target of getting 10,000 more women playing the game.
Tabard’s event will give the participants the opportunity to try all aspects of rugby from passing to tackling, with no pressure to do anything that you don’t want to.
Captain, Laura-Jo Pearce, said: “It is a great team sport to be part of, with a great social side to the game too.
“Tabard women are a sociable team who have just been promoted, however we still play in a development league so are welcoming of new players.
“Our current team is made up of girls who have played at premiership level and those who hadn’t picked up a rugby ball until last season.
“All are keen to include and progress new players. Our sessions are both fitness and skills based and most of all are fun.
“They take place on Tuesday evenings.”
