JUNIOR Old Verulamian RFC players were trained by Saracens are chosen to be Guard of Honour in their clash with Munster at Vicarage Road.

In what was a day to remember, the youngsters started the day with a training session from the Saracens coaches.

Every age group had the opportunity to train with the coaches and improve their rugby skills.

In the afternoon many children, and their parents, attended the Saracens game where the club’s Minis were Guard of Honour for the Heineken Cup game in which many England players featured.

Old Verulamains Minis were led onto the pitch by their U8s and U11s coaches.

The Saracens and Munster players ran through a sea of Royal Blue and Gold shirts with the boys cheering them on.

There was a good turnout from the St Albans club who enjoyed great rugby and an electric atmosphere.

Saracens went on to win the game 19-13.

Old Verulamian RFC would like to thank Saracens for the day and Mini’s chair Lady Angela Clifford for making it all possible.
