ST ALBANS suffered their second defeat of the campaign as they lost 31-11 to local rivals Hemel Hempstead.

Saints found themselves behind on 18 minutes when Hemel centre Ray Adde broke through their defence and offloaded to winger Jack Chruch to touch down, with Adde converting the try.

St Albans kicked two penalties to reduce the deficit and were given another boost when the home captain Green was sent to the sin-bin.

It was not to be though and a try from Adams, again converted by Adde, saw the hosts extend their lead.

Adde kicked a penalty and Hemel added try number three when full-back David St George McKenzie touched down. The conversion was successful from Adde to give Hemel a 24-11 lead.

It was then Adde's turn to cross the white wash and he converted his own try to complete the scoring.

St Albans are still looking for their first win of the season and will be hoping they fare better when they entertain third-placed Imperial Medicals on Saturday.
