OA Colts came from behind to seal a dramatic win in a hotly contested match against Petersfield at Woollams on Sunday, setting up a home quarter final clash against Taunton in the National Cup.

It is the furthest any OA Colts side has gone in this prestigious competition.

The first half was truly action-packed, with the OAs looking stunned as their Hampshire rivals raced in to score two unconverted tries and take a 10-0 lead in the first 10 minutes.

However, the Herts lads rallied and took the game back to the opposition.

First, OA fly half Charles Reed jinked his way through the Petersfield defence to race in and score under the posts; and minutes later his brother Will Reed at inside centre crashed over the line, with full-back Victor Stairmand bagging both conversions to give OAs a 14-10 advantage.

Shortly before half-time, flanker James Land - part of an inspired pack - thundered over the line to give OAs a useful 19-10 lead.

Though the second half did not match the point-scoring of the first, the OAs came close to crossing the line on a couple of occasions and their defence was solid.

Petersfield, who had overwhelmed Saracens to get to this round, knocked over a penalty to pose a real threat in the final minutes but OAs held firm and gave their supporters good reason to cheer their 19-13 win and look forward to this Sunday's quarter final at Woollams
