The Harpenden side team remained largely unchanged from last week's win at Twickenham as they took on Finchley at Redbourn Lane.
The game began with both sides employing a long, tactical kicking game and it took a moment of risk from the Men In Black to awaken the crowd. Cornthwaite created a hole for Kearns to slip into and finally trouble the scorers to make it 5-0 with a little over 25 minutes played. Harpenden's tails were up but although the home side held the advantage in both territory and possession, it was a mistake from Healy that allowed the visitors into the lead. A slip from the number nine gifted their tall winger seven points as he outraced Kearns to the line, with the conversion added and only minutes remaining before half time.
Harps responded when a clearance kick by the Finchley fly half hung in the air for what seemed an eternity as Barton galloped onto the ball at pace. He went past the first two defenders, then a neat step and pirouette saw him free his hands and deftly offload to Green who scored out wide. Jonny Barton added the extras to make the half-time score 12-7.
In the second half, an excellent break from Spiers allowed Kearns his second score of the game and put further light between the two sides. Harpenden's domination was near total, as forwards and backs linked well to create further overlaps from which Pattison profited, beating several markers out wide to slither over the line.
It was Pattison's break which next allowed James McDonald to gain valuable yards. Quickly recycled ball found its way to substitute Humphreys who barrelled and stepped his way within sniffing distance of the line and offloaded for Dan Tennant to score. Kearns then completed his hat trick to finish the scoring.
