They may have been struggling with injuries but Tabard were still able to battle their way to a 37-24 bonus-point victory over Finchley.

The Radlett-based rugby club got off to a perfect start with Johnny Aguila crossing after just two minutes and Jack Reilly adding the conversion.

Charlie Sandison added a second and Reilly was successful with a penalty.

Finchley had scored once in the first half but any thoughts of a fight back were killed off after the break as Aguila got his second and Aaron Priscott bagged the bonus point.

Two Finchley tries closed the gap slightly but Tom King eased Tabard away again, Reilly adding the conversion, and a further penalty sealed the win, even though Finchley bagged a bonus point try of their own.

Tabard’s season ends with a short trip to Old Merchant Taylors’ on Saturday.
