With the season’s end looming Harpenden continue to do what they need to keep their noses in the promotion race – with a 27-10 win over Belsize Park the latest success.
Harps remain third in London North West Two with four games to go, four points behind Hampstead and six adrift of HAC.
After conceding the first try Harpenden’s Tom Rolfe levelled things up and Ollie Mann got the second, which he duly converted, to give them a 12-5 lead.
Nick Childs got a beautifully worked try in the second half and Fred Gulliford got the bonus-point score before Tom Sweeney notched number five.
Team Manager Rod McAulay said that although he had seen a few games where Harpenden played “class running rugby”, he had never seen as much physical commitment.
Harpenden will play Hackney at Redbourn Lane on Saturday at the slightly earlier time of 12.30pm.
