Coaching OA Saints has made me a better player says Saracens and England’s Sarah McKenna

Sarah McKenna says coaching Old Albanian Saints has helped her to become a better player.
The England full-back has been one of the stars of the Women’s Six Nations this season but her secondary job with the Woollams-based club is partly to thank for that.
She said: “At the moment I’m only seeing them on game days because of the Six Nations but I’ll be with them this week.
“I love being there so much, I get so much out of it.
“I genuinely feel I’ve become a better player from coaching and coaching them.
“I have learned so much from them. It is as valuable to me as it is to them.”
With her help the team sit top of their table with just three games to go, a position that would see them earn a promotion play-off spot.
“It’s really promising,” said the Harpenden back.
“At the moment it’s just about keeping the girls’ heads down and keep pushing onwards because even if we’re successful, we’ll be then setting sights on the next league.
“The same thing applies to them as to England. We have to keep challenging them, to keep them pushing the ceiling and to not get complacent.”
