Rovers got off to a horrendous start when after just three minutes a shocking piece of defending allowed Chipperfield an easy tap in. Fifteen minutes later Rovers made another mistake allowing Chipperfield to make it 2-0.
Rovers rallied after this and dominated the second period of the first half but spurned three gilt-edged chances. The game was effectively over straight after the interval when another piece of poor defending allowed Chipperfield to score the third. Rovers introduced debutant Chris Ellis who looked very sharp but with Rovers pushing for a goal, they were hit twice on the counter attack to finally go down 5-0.

l Rovers Reserves carried on their unbeaten run, beating Mill End Reserves 3-0 with goals from Martin Smith and two outstanding strikes from Andy Palmer and Alex Dennehy. Manager Mark Nicholls was delighted with his team's performance and was quoted as saying, "with performances like these we really have a great chance of winning this league".
The third team also had an outstanding result, beating Bovingdon A 2-1, with both goals coming from veteran Rick Russell.
