Redbourn Golf Club’s Harry Bigham and Luke Baynham picked up the overall scratch and overall net trophies, respectively, at the U16 Championship.
Formerly the Boys’ Intermediate Championship, 90 junior golfers from around the county took part in the competition at Berkhamsted Golf Club, with handicaps ranging from one to 22 and ages from nine to 16.
Having forced a play-off against Alex Lee from Stevenage, 13-year-old Harry found the green in two strokes before two-putting his way to victory.
In the Handicap category, Luke Baynham achieved nett 63 off his handicap of 10. His gross of 73 (+2) was only one shot off tying for the lead in the Overall Scratch event.
