London Colney 4 New Bradwell St Peter 1

LONDON Colney collected their first win of the season in Division One as they hit four against New Bradwell St Peter on Saturday.

Paul Danslow put the hosts ahead at Cotlandswick and substitute Sam Mitchell scored a second just before the hour mark. Mitchell came on to replace the injured former Sandridge Rovers man Mitchell Heylock in the first half.

New Bradwell pulled a goal back with 15 minutes left to ensure a tense spell before maverick striker Jermaine Davey cracked in a fine shot to make the game safe.

New signing Josh Humbert came on late and made a sensational entrance, firing a thunderous shot into the top corner on 89 minutes to add the gloss to the Colney victory.

The result is a vital boost for the Blueboys ahead of the home fixtures with Royston Town in the league on Tuesday and in the FA Vase against Hatfield Town on Saturday. Kick off is 7.45pm at Cotlandswick for the Royston game and Colney will hope for a good crowd to help them to a second successive league win. The FA Vase clash on Saturday with local rivals Hatfield should prove an entertaining affair. The Blueboys drew at Hatfield in the league earlier this season.
