Radlett Women tightened their grip on the Southern League Championship title after their 14th consecutive win.
Alexis Mannion’s side beat Twickenham by 10 wickets on Sunday to set them up for potentially title-deciding games against Purley, Orpington and Brighton.
Twickenham surprisingly opted to bat first on a damp wicket and it didn’t take long for Hayley Arrol (1-10) to claim the first wicket. Ruck (1-15) had the other opener caught in the slips.
Spin twins Anje Lague and Lorraine Hartley accounted for one wicket each as Twickenham reached 48-4. With the middle order exposed, seamers Chloe Frame (4-7) and Katie Pankhurst (1-6) kept the batters from getting comfroatble and the innings ended on 107.
In reply, Radlett’s openers, Cath McNeil (38*) and Hannah Smith (52*), raced to 100 off 14 overs and needed just four more balls to surpass the target and extend the winning streak.
