Radlett Women suffered first loss in two years

Radlett Women suffered their first defeat in the Southern League since September 9, 2012 following a 36-run loss at St Lawrence and Highland Court.

Molly Davis made 101 of the home side’s total of 227-7 as Radlett toiled in the field.

Leg spinner Anna Harris starred with figures of 3-13 from six overs, but Radlett were unable to stem the flow of runs and were faced with the prospect of having to chase a score in excess of 200 for the first time in over four years.

In reply, all of the Radlett bats made solid contributions, notably 40 from Harris, 32 from Laura Owen and 45 from Alexis Mannion, but they began to fall behind the required rate during the middle overs and gave themselves too much to do late on.

The final total of 191-6 left them 36 runs short and their first taste of defeat in 19 matches.
