RADLETT have added to their Home Counties League squad by signing former Kent second team batsman Leo Sandino Taylor.
Taylor, who lives in Radlett, has left league champions High Wycombe after one season because of work commitments with Nike and he will be hoping to help Radlett improve on last season's fifth-placed finish.
The 28-year-old brings unrivalled experience of top level club cricket, including two National Cup finals at Lord's and an Evening Standard Trophy final at the Oval in his five seasons with Kent League Club, Bromley.
Taylor said: "I'm really excited to play for a genuine local club, especially one as friendly. I joined Wycombe through friends last year without realising that Radlett were in the same league, and it was quite a shock to be told my opening game was at Radlett."
The club is also in discussions with another top club batsmen as they look to build on last season when they finished only one win behind Wycombe in the tightest finish since the league was inaugurated in 2000.
Captain and all-rounder Shane Burger, is in full training after a minor knee operation back home in Johannesburg, and Herts left-arm spin all-rounder Paul Barker has recovered fully from a badly broken finger sustained last season.
The only doubt surrounds all-rounder Felix Walker who is likely to miss the start of the season after serious illness.
The club's group of professional coaches will be heavily involved in Chance To Shine coaching projects and a new elite youth academy at Queens' School, Bushey, when the new sports hall opens this spring.
Nets are held at Hatfield Sports Village on Tuesday evenings, and the club welcomes players for assessment without obligation. Contact can be made through the website www.radlettcc.com
