RADLETT'S Gareth Berg played in front of millions on Sky Sports last night as defending champions Middlesex lost to Hampshire in the Twenty20 Cup.
Berg opened the bowling for the Middlesex Panthers alongside Steven Finn and the duo combined to take the first wicket, that of Jimmy Adams after Berg held on to a great out at deep backward square-leg.
Berg came back into the bowling attack towards the end of the innings and claimed the vital scalp of Michael Lumb who had powered his way to 93 from 52 balls before being stumped by Ben Scott off a wide delivery.
Despite making a good start with the bat the Middlesex innings was suffocated by some good death bowling from Hampshire.
Berg came in with the score a 150-4 but could only add an unbeaten three with the bat as Hampshire wrapped up a 28-run win.
The result is the Panthers seventh successive loss in the competition something they'll looking to put right when they take on the Essex Eagles on Friday at Lords.
