A Herts race-ace made his “slicks and wings” debut this week as he ponders his options for next season.
Alex Jones, 22, from Radlett, stepped up to test the 2016 BRDC Formula 4 car with championship front-runners, Chris Dittman Racing at Donington Park yesterday (Thursday).
The Formula Vee racer said: “It’ll be my first time with slicks and wings so the first part will be about getting comfortable in the car and getting used to the aero.
“I’ve learnt a lot in Formula Vee which I’ll be taking over and developing with the F4 as I look to further my racing.
“I’ve followed BRDC F4 very closely this season and my ultimate goal is to be in the championship next year. It all rests on whether we can get the correct backing and put the right package together.”
