The Radlett steamroller continued on its seemingly unstoppable path of destruction – adding Hertford to the list with a three-wicket victory.
But the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League Premier Division leaders didn’t have it all their own way.
Having won the toss at Balls Park, Radlett chose to field first.
Joe Cooke struck early, removing Matthew Hill for four thanks to a catch by Tom Jenkins, one of four the wicket-keeper would take.
But Hertford dug deep and thanks to decent knocks from Steve Gale (26), Alistair Jenkin (48) and Richard Leather (38), they moved the score onto 142-4.
Augustine Joyce was still hanging around on his way to 47 but he was starting to lose partners at an alarming rate.
The stumping of Will Van Der Maat left Hertford at 164-5 and the remaining five wickets would fall for just 11 runs.
Jon-Jon Smuts, playing his last game before his month-long adventure in the Caribbean Twenty/20 League, top the bowling figures with 6-42, with Fakir Dungaria chipping in with 3-14.
Radlett’s openers have been in scintillating form of late and they managed 35 before Smuts was caught on 22.
And Radlett kept the scoreboard ticking over with wickets falling at even stages.
Fraser Crawford would top score with 52 at which point the visitors were 121-3.
They did suffer a bit of a wobble with the next three wickets falling for just 22 runs but a knock of 20 from Dungaria settled the nerves.
Matt Creese and Joshua Charles saw Radlett home in the 51st over.
Next up is a trip to Sawbridgeworth.
