Radlett won their opening Group D game in the Readers County T20 Cup against Welwyn Garden City.
Jono McLean’s side won the tie by 26 runs after successful defending their score of 138-6.
Wicketkeeper Tom Jenkins (36) and Johnny Armitage (32) starred for Radlett who also got decent knocks of 22 from the skipper and an unbeaten 20 from Matt Creese.
In reply, WGC’s batsmen weren’t allowed out of second gear as Creese surrendered just 12 runs from four overs while taking three wickets. Michael Lee chipped in with two dismissals as Welwyn’s innings ended on 112-9.
