RADLETT had to battle for a draw at Henley on Saturday with Atul Sachdeva and Robbie Crocker denying the hosts.

Henley batted first and opener Michael Roberts scored 43 before he was caught and bowled by young Rob Watson.

Number four Bjorn Mordt proved the star as he crashed 109 runs to hammer Henley to 219-6 when he was dismissed by Sachdeva, thanks to a catch from Graham Dill.

Chad Keegan continued the assault with 46 before he was clean bowled by Felix Walker and Henley were dismissed for 255 off 65.5 overs.

The inspirational Sachdeva picked up 5-63 off 15.5 overs for Radlett and was supported well by Watson and Walker who each claimed two wickets. Skipper Shane Burger took one victim.

In reply, Radlett lost openers Dill (11) and James Lewis (4) and they were soon followed by key batting trio Steve Lowe, Burger and Kabir Toor. With Walker also gone, Radlett were facing defeat at 44-6.

Number seven Tom Jenkins and number eight Paul Barker came together to rescue the situation with a superb partnership of 85, until Jenkins was bowled on 50. Barker (56) continued to take Radlett to 153 when he was out. Watson was next to go but Sachdeva (8 not out) and Robbie Crocker (4 not out) guided Radlett to safety on 170-9 from 54 overs.

In Division Two of the Saracens Herts League, Radlett II continued their superb form with a fifth win from seven matches.

Potters Bar II won the toss at Cobden Hill and posted 177 all out off 50.3 overs. Haydn Smith picked up 4-56 for Radlett and Stuart Browne (3-26 off 15 overs) and Heath Paynter (3-32 off nine overs) also bowled well.

In reply, opener Nick Fielden hit 27 while number three David Robinson (42 not out) and number five John Barr (67 not out) fired Radlett to an emphatic victory on 179-3 off 41 overs.
