St Albans archer helps GB win gold

ST ALBANS archer Mary Perrott claimed gold at the European Junior Cup in Italy.

Mary, who captained the side, and her two team mates won gold after beating the host nation in difficult conditions.

The St Albans archer set the standard by shooting a personal best score on the day, beating all of the other team archers and ensuring that GB took first place in the junior girl compound class. She was placed fifth in the individual event, the highest placed GB junior girl.

Mary is now looking forward to the European Championships in Germany, in July, an event that she was able to qualify for by out performing all of the other Archery GB junior girls.
