PAUL Davis Fencing Academy’s senior team won gold at the Hertfordshire Team Foil Championships.
The Verulam School-based team also entered its new junior team, and, against older competitors, they came in fifth place.
Along with the three junior fencers who took part in the event another seven fencers from PDFA will be taking part in the English Youth Championships on June 22 at Herts Sports Village.
Fencing is growing in the county with fencers now competing across the country on a weekly basis.
