Greenwood Park 47-0 v Datchworth II
Game Abandoned
Fellow Division Nine strugglers Datchworth II came to Greenwood Park on the back of an impressive win the previous week, but were very hesitant as they won the toss and tentatively requested Park to bat first.
Park duly opened with their unbeaten opening pair from last Saturday, skipper Mel Baker and John Eyre. Datchworth's early bowling was less than accurate and runs from the bat just about kept ahead of the extras as Park set off at more than five an over.
Datchworth had just introduced more accuracy to their attack when the heavens opened and play was suspended after 12 overs. Unusually the wicket retained the surface water and, despite a long break and even an early tea, further play was not possible, Park left frustrated after a good start at 47 without loss and now in the relegation zone after Bragbury's withdrawal from the league.
