Carl Osbourne scored a hat-trick to hand Colney Heath a 3-2 win over rivals London Colney in the Herts Charity Shield.

Osbourne put the Magpies two ahead before Danny Fitzgerald pulled a goal back for the Blueboys.

Heath’s talisman then wrapped up his hat-trick by latching on to a misplaced back pass and beating Charlie May, London Colney’s goalkeeper.

There was still time for Lee Armitt to get his first goal for the club, but the Blueboys couldn’t find an equaliser to take the game to penalties as Heath booked their place in the next round.
